DENVER, COLORADO (May 29, 2018) – Medical Professor, a cloud-based, physician documentation application that targets the reduction of medical errors in Emergency Medicine, has applied for the Prime Health Challenge.
The two veteran physician entrepreneurs who founded Medical Professor were drawn to the challenge for the opportunity to collaborate with the innovative Prime Health community and to accelerate the adoption of the application that has the potential to positively impact millions of patient visits each year.
“The Prime Health Challenge attracts a talented group of elite healthcare entrepreneurs that are creating innovative solutions to disrupt the healthcare industry. If chosen as a semi-finalist, we’re excited for the opportunity to share our solution so it can have a greater impact more quickly on improving patient safety across the country,” said Dr. Steve Brunetti and President of Medical Professor.
Semi-finalists will be announced June 15, 2018, upon which each company will enter a three-month mentorship phase to validate companies based on business and clinical rubrics in order to identify the most commercial-ready solutions. Industry experts provide feedback and mentorship to digital health companies seeking to pilot their products with local healthcare institutions. The program concludes with a “shark-tank” style event on October 11th at the EXDO Event Center in RiNo Denver. Finalist companies will pitch their products live in front of a panel of healthcare executives from healthcare institutions across Colorado and an audience of hundreds to win a portion of the $150,000 prize and the opportunity to pilot their product within local rural settings and in underserved communities.
